“Beginning the 2016/2017 academic year, the School of Business will have five academic (5) departments, a centre and a unit.”, Dr. Siaw Frimpong, the Vice-Dean said this at Orientation and Reception programme organized for first year undergraduate and post graduate sandwich students of the School. The event came off on Thursday 23rd June, 2015 at CoDE Building, University of Cape Coast. Dr. Siaw Frimpong officially welcomed the students and thanked them for choosing the University of Cape Coast (University of Choice) and the School of Business for that matter. He assured the students that they would never regret the choice they have made as the Faculty and staff of the School were well-equipped to help them finish their programme successfully. The students were advised to take enough rest and be careful with their diet since they needed to be healthy to be able to study. The Sandwich Coordinators and other faculty members took turns to address some concerns raised by the students. The programme is an annual one which is organised by the School to formally welcome first year students of the School. In his closing remarks, the Dean of the School, Professor Edward Marfo-Yiadom urged the students to maintain a healthy relationship with their lecturers and to focus on their studies.
