IEPA Engages Staff in Self Evaluation

A one-day Self Evaluation retreat has been held for senior members, senior and junior staff of the Institute for Educational Planning and Administration (IEPA) at Birdrock hotel, Anomabo.

In her welcome address, the Director of IEPA, Dr. Rosemary Bosu welcomed staff and indicated that the retreat had a dual purpose of reviewing the activities of IEPA during the 2015/16 academic year to help plan for the next academic year and also to foster fraternity among the staff at the Institute.  She said the retreat was also to create platform for all category of staff to engage in a frank discussion relating to issues raised at the programme.

The Pro-Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. George K. T. Oduro who is also a former director of IEPA, commended staff of the Institute for contributing consistently to education policies in the nation.  He however reminded staff of the urgency to be innovative in order to remain at the vanguard of being trainers of education administrators and planners since the terrain has changed and there were several institutions of higher learning offering programmes in education administration and planning.

Dr. Baaba Aidoo, a lecturer at the Institute, facilitated the session on reviewing the activities during the past academic year. The three categories of staff did separate review of the previous year and also strategised for the coming year.
